Brothers and Sisters
Young
Carers’ Group
This is a group for young people who care for a family member with
a long-term illness or disability, including a brother or sister
who is disabled. The group for 4 to 12 year olds meets on a Saturday,
while the club for those aged 13+ meets on a Monday evening. The
groups plan activities and outings, learn new skills and meet other

Sibs
Sibs
is a group for the brothers and sisters of people
with special educational needs, disability, or chronic illness.
This group of people are often called 'siblings'. Many siblings
need support and information at different times. Sibs aim
is to make a positive difference to the lives of siblings - to
make
growing up with someone with additional needs a bit easier.
Sibs have a website and fact
sheets for young siblings, adult siblings, parents and professionals.
Parents can subscribe to a weekly email tip and professionals to
a monthly activity idea for their sibling group. Sibs also run information
events on sibling issues. If you want to talk to someone
about a sibling issue or would like to find out more about our work,
do get in touch. They would love to hear from you.
